Study

Congregational Application of the Practice

This month, we are practicing the discipline of study: to dig deeper when questions are sparked, to be a “self-feeder” outside of Sunday morning, to listen to voices outside of our traditions and assumptions. All this is done to grow in our love for God and neighbor. Here are a few examples of what this might look like:

- Read one of the "Four Views" books on a topic that you want to dig deeper into. This series provides good faith examples for differing orthodox views on theological topics.
- Francis Schaeffer “Mark of the Christian”

Study Resources

In The Nature of the Atonement each participant first puts forth the case for their view. Each view is followed by responses from the other three participants, noting points of agreement as well as disagreement. This is a book that will help Christians understand the issues, grasp the differences and proceed toward a clearer articulation of their understanding of the atonement.
Extensive study notes, charts, maps, and articles make this study Bible a valuable resource for serious readers, students, and teachers of God’s Word.
