Scripture is the living and active word of God, that tells a unified story,  leading us to Jesus.

Congregational Application of the Practice

Read the book of Matthew, ideally one chapter every day, from now until October 3. In your Small Groups, you will have opportunities to share about what you are learning as you apply this month’s Spiritual Practice.

If you would like, we will email you a chapter of Matthew every morning. Sign up in the lobby on Sunday or contact the office.

Scripture Resources

The Bible Project exists to help people experience the Bible as a unified story that leads to Jesus. Through videos and podcasts, this collective is a helpful tool to supplement scripture reading. Their free content is accessible to students and adults alike.
In Words of LifeTimothy Ward examines why, in order to worship God faithfully, we need to pay close attention to the Bible; why, in order to be faithful disciples of Jesus we need to base out lives on the words of the Bible; and why, in order to keep in step with the Holy Spirit, we need to trust and obey what the Bible says.
Extensive study notes, charts, maps, and articles make this study Bible a valuable resource for serious readers, students, and teachers of God’s Word.
Women of the Word is a great resource for how to study the Bible, focusing on core exegesis and principles. This book helps equip women and men alike to engage God’s word in a way that trains our mind and transforms our heart.
