Young Lee
Pastor
Young Lee, pastor of community care, graduated from the University of Pennsylvania and afterward attended Biblical Seminary for his MDiv and Doctor of Ministry. Prior to moving to the metro DC area, Young served at Renewal Church in Philadelphia (formerly known also as Emmanuel) for 13 years. He has also served as a Justice Advocate for International Justice Mission (IJM). Next to ministry, Young's greatest passion is the Philadelphia Eagles.
After receiving her Masters from Columbia University, Michele completed her PhD in counseling psychology from NYU in 2009. She has worked in various contexts such as an eating disorder clinic, a non-profit focused on immigrants/refugees, and at the counseling center of UPenn. She worked at IJM as the Global Vice President of Justice Solutions for 10 years but is currently working at the Veterans Affair Hospital along with volunteering on the board of Compassion International and Redeem International, a Christian non-profit who advocates for widows and orphans in Uganda.
Young and Michele met in Oaxaca, Mexico while on a short-term mission trip. Together they have three incredibly beautiful boys: Twin boys, Jacob and Thomas, and the youngest, Ezra.
