Annie was born and raised in Newark, Delaware. She graduated from the University of Delaware with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. After graduating, she taught 2nd grade in Delaware until she relocated to Durham, North Carolina with her husband Spencer. In North Carolina, she taught 4th grade and later received her certification in gifted education. She went on to serve as a gifted education specialist for 2nd through 5th grade students. In 2021, she graduated from the University of North Carolina Wilmington with a Master of Education in Curriculum Studies for Equity in Education. In 2023, Annie and Spencer relocated to Virginia with their son Jack where Emmanuel became their church home.
Annie is passionate about sharing the love and hope she has in Jesus Christ with all people (but especially children)! She has served in children’s and youth ministry in North Carolina and Delaware to provide meaningful opportunities for students to explore the gospel and begin to investigate the Bible on their own. She is excited about building relationships with students and families at Emmanuel, and she longs to play a role in fostering ethnic unity in the local church. With her free time, Annie loves hiking, traveling, and spending time with her family.
